Last week, young people from the Youth Placemaking Balkans initiative came together for an outdoor meeting to dive deeper into their planned interventions and discuss next steps.
The meeting wasn’t just about planning—it was about co-creation, collaboration, and fun. Surrounded by fresh air, participants engaged in brainstorming sessions, shared perspectives on the needs of their communities, and worked together to refine their next steps for improving public spaces.
Alongside the serious discussions, the group also enjoyed interactive activities and games, which helped build trust, spark creativity, and strengthen connections among participants. These playful moments reminded everyone that collaboration thrives in open, welcoming spaces.
By the end of the meeting, youth had not only outlined clear strategies for their interventions but also reinforced their commitment to creating inclusive, safe, and engaging public areas across the Balkans.
This gathering is a powerful example of how youth-led movements can combine vision, strategy, and joy to shape more vibrant communities.
